Only 7 Intelligence Officials in custody

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Refuting the allegations that a large number of Intelligence Officials are in remand custody, the Minister of Ports and Shipping and Southern Development, Sagala Ratnayaka stated that “Only 7 Intelligence Officials are now in custody as part of the investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).”

Ratnayaka stressed that there has not been any political interference at all in the matter.

He made this remarks addressing a meeting in Matara.
