Schools to reopen on Apr. 29

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Education on Tuesday (23) announced that all Government schools island-wide will be opened on 29 April.

It has also been decided to reopen all private Catholic schools for the second academic term on 29 April.

The schools were scheduled to reopen on Wednesday (24), following the bombings which killed 310 people and injured hundreds others in a series of explosions across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday (21), one of the most sacred days of the year for Christians.
