Railway, bus strike from midnight today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Employees of several Divisions of the railway service including Controllers, Engine Operators, Guards, and Station Masters are launching a 48-hour token strike commencing from midnight Tuesday (09).

Meanwhile, the All Island Private Bus Employees Association (AIPBEA) is also preparing to launch a strike from midnight today in protest of proposed-traffic spot fine of Rs. 25,000.
