CEB summoned before Courts over power crisis

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Officials attached to the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) have been issued summons to appear before the Fort Magistrate’s Court on 09 April following a lawsuit filed by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) which was supported over the illegal power interruptions.

PUCSL had filed a case claiming that the CEB had failed to comply with the Commission Act by communicating daily generation reports.

PUCSL further added that had the CEB communicated its daily generation reports power interruptions could have been predicted and mitigated.
