Cocaine worth over Rs.10 billion incinerated [UPDATE]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: 769 Kilogrammes of cocaine reportedly worth over Rs. 10.9 billion seized by the Law Enforcement Agencies incinerated at the Suraweera Warehouse Complex at Maguruwela in Kelaniya on Monday (01).

According to international standards, the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) incinerated the drugs under a directive by President Maithripala Sirisena.

(UTV|COLOMBO) – 769 Kilogrammes of cocaine reportedly worth over Rs. 10.9 billion seized by the Law Enforcement Agencies is to be incinerated on Monday (01) under a directive by President Maithripala Sirisena.

This will be the second time that the Government will incinerate drugs publicly.
