Wijeyadasa to appear before Presidential Commission today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Parliamentarian Wijeyadasa Rajapakse is scheduled to appear before the Presidential Commission of inquiry to investigate into acts of corruption and frauds occurred in state institutions in 2015 – 2018, at 11.00 AM on Wednesday (27).

Rajapakse has filed a complaint at the Presidential Commission regarding the ‘Suraksha’ insurance scheme established by the Ministry of Education for the benefit of school children.

The Parliamentarian stated that Rs. 2,300 million of State funds have been misappropriated instead of providing benefits to the children.
