Protest erupt near Lankan Embassy in Tamil Nadu over alleged human rights violations

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Protest erupted near Sri Lankan Embassy against Sri Lankan Government in Tamil Nadu on Thursday (14) for dragging the investigation on alleged human rights violations that took place in the South-Asian island nation in 2008.

The protesters demanded the Indian Government to take the issue in the United Nations (UN) Council to take immediate action against Colombo.

The protest was organised by Ezha Tamilar Vaalvurimai Kootamaipu, and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) Party Leaders including Thirumavalavan, Thyagu, Kolathur Mani participated in the protest.
