(UTV|COLOMBO) – Avissawella Police has commenced a special investigation into the discovery of a firearm, ammunition, and machetes in the residence of a Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) Member on Sunday (24).
The items were discovered in the residence of a Dehiowita PS member following a raid conducted by the Police Special Task Force (STF) based on a tip-off received by them.
The wife of the PS member was later arrested.
