Prevailing showery condition to continue

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prevailing showery condition is expected to continue today (05), the Department of Meteorology stated.

Showers will occur at times in Eastern, Uva, North-Central and Central Provinces, and several spells of showers will occur in Northern Province and in Hambantota District.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 PM.

Fairly heavy falls above 75 millimetres can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Western, Central, North-Central and Eastern Provinces, and in Galle and Matara Districts, the Met. Department stressed, adding fairly strong gusty winds up to 40 kilometre per hour can be expected over North-Western, Northern, and Southern Provinces.
