GMOA to continue SAITM strike

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) says the strike launched against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) will be extended till tomorrow (03rd Friday).

Executive Committee member of the GMOA Dr. Senal Fernando has stated that tha strike launched at all state hospitals in the Western Province today (02nd  Thursday) will be conducted till noon tomorrow.

The GMOA has been holding numerous protests against SAITM in various parts of the island.

The GMOA claims that medical degrees awarded by the institute should not be accepted as legitimate.
