Customs officers on strike today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Customs Officers’ Association had, reportedly, engaged in a token strike this morning (11).

According to the Customs officer’s sources, the purpose of conducting this strike is to protest the arbitrary delays of the authorities of Finance Ministry on implementing the recommendations issued by the Salaries and Cadre Commission to remove the salary disparities existing in the Customs service.
