300 ATMs to be installed in main rail stations – Min. Nimal Siripala

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, said that they took the initiative to install 300 People’s Bank ATM machines at 100 main railway stations. He said this at on 27th February at a ceremony at his Ministry

The first stage concerns 100 railway stations across the country, with hope of expanding. The Railway Security Division planned a special security arrangement for their safety.

The Minister added that this will be extremely useful to the commuters, numbering nearly 300,000 per day. He thanked the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Railway Department for their assistance in this project.
