New laws to use electricity from 2019

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka states that the new laws on power plugs and plugs connected to the electricity will be implemented from the beginning of 2019.

These laws are aimed at minimizing electrical hazards.

Director General of the Commission, Damitha Kumarasinghe said, that the standard equipment should be released to the market and that the program will be implemented according to a special survey.
