Disrupted train services back to normal

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Train services on the upcountry, Kelani Valley and Polgahawela-Maradana railway lines have been restored.

Train services on the upcountry line was disrupted owing to an earth slip, which had occurred last night (05) in the area between Ella and Heel Oya on the railway line, hence restricted to Bandarawela.

Meanwhile, train services on the Polgahawela-Maradana main line and Kelani Valley line were delayed on Tuesday (06) due to technical issues that occurred in two separate trains on the tracks.

However, train services on these two main lines have also been restored as of now, Railway Control Room said.
