(UTV|COLOMBO) – President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived together at the “Ratama Rakina Jana Mahimaya” rally at Parliament roundabout a short while ago.
The currently ongoing rally is participated by many political representatives as well as public from island-wide.
The rally held to show support to newly appointed Prime Minister and the government has been named ‘Ratama Rakina Jana Mahimaya’.
The rally has been organized by the members of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA).
1200 police personnel have been deployed to provide security for the rally.
