(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Speaker’s Office on Friday (26) announced that Speaker Karu Jayasuriya is seeking legal advice on the prevailing political situation of Sri Lanka, and will take a decision on Saturday (27) on the stand that needs to be taken by Parliament.

A political dilemma has developed with the President appointing Mahinda Rajapaksa as Prime Minister and Ranil Wickremesinghe saying he is still the Prime Minister.
