Mahinda Rajapaksa sworn in as Prime Minister

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has sworn in as the Prime Minister before President Maithripala Sirisena, a short while ago.

Earlier, the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) has decided to leave the National Government, the UPFA General Secretary, Minister Mahinda Amaraweera announced.

The letter pertaining to the withdrawal has been sent to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.
