Indian couple arrested at BIA with Rs. 24.5 million worth heroin

(UTV|COLOMBO) – An Indian couple who arrived from India this morning (15) has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) for the possession of a stock of heroin worth around Rs. 24.5 million.

The stock of heroin has been weighed at 2 kilograms and 450 grams, which the couple had concealed under a false bottom in their travelling bag.

Further investigations are being conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau attached to the BIA.
