Marawila hospital junior employees on Strike today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Junior employees of Marawila Base Hospital have commenced a strike action this morning (04) at around 06.30 a.m. based on several demands including improper implementation of annual transfers and deploying the junior employees for dissecting dead bodies.

The daily functions of the Outpatient Department (OPD) of the hospital have come to a complete halt owing to the strike action.

Reportedly, a large number of patients have been inconvenienced due to the strike action.
