Pakistan reiterates its complete support to Sri Lanka for national security

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Pakistan has expressed complete support to Sri Lanka for its national security and offered unconditional strategic cooperation, the Radio Pakistan reported.

The understanding came at a meeting between Pakistan’s Defence Secretary retired Lieutenant General Ikram Ul Haq and his Sri Lankan counterpart Kapila Waidyaratne in Colombo on Wednesday (03).

High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Dr. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat and Defence Ministry Officials were also present on the occasion.

Defence Secretary Ikram Ul Haq is in Sri Lanka leading a high-level delegation for Pakistan – Sri Lanka Armed Forces Defence Dialogue.

The dialogue is held with the aim to promote professional and mutually beneficial relations.
