“Sri Lanka requires serious work ahead of World Cup” – Wasim Akram

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka requires some serious work ahead of the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales, Pakistan great Wasim Akram said.

For teams like Sri Lanka and Pakistan, there is a lot of work left to be done in the build-up to the 2019 World Cup in England, he said.

Akram said that India is well ahead of the rest of the pack in Asia.

“India proved to be well ahead of everyone. Their exposure is greater, they have financial benefits and the money invested in their system like the Indian Premier League (IPL) is bearing fruits,” Akram told the Agence France-Presse (AFP).
