Pakistan’s Defence Secretary to visit Sri Lanka tomorrow

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Defence Secretary of Pakistan, Lt. Gen. (R) Ikram Ul Haq, along with a high level delegation will be arriving Sri Lanka on a four-day visit from 02 to 05 October, to participate in the Pakistan – Sri Lanka Armed Forces Defence Dialogue.

During the visit, the Defence Secretary will meet his Sri Lankan counterpart Mr. Kapila Waidyaratne to discuss matters of professional interests. He will also hold meetings with Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral R. C. Wijegunaratne and Commanders of Sri Lanka tri-forces.

Defence ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka are based on mutual trust and commonality of interest in maintaining regional peace, security and stability. The dialogue aims to promote professional and mutually beneficial relations between both Armed Forces.
