Showers expected to continue till Wednesday – Met. Department

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Due to a low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, prevailing showery condition is expected to enhance over the island particularly, in the North-Central, Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva Provinces and expected to continue till Wednesday (03), the Department of Meteorology said.

Showers or thundershowers will occur in the most parts of the island during evening or night.

Heavy falls above 100 millimetre can be expected at some places in the Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Western, and North-Western Provinces, and in Galle, Matara Districts.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in coastal areas of Southern and Eastern Provinces in the morning too.
