(UTV|COLOMBO) – Due to a low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, prevailing showery condition is expected to enhance over the island particularly, in the North-Central, Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva Provinces is expected to continue during next few days (01 to 03, October), the Department of Meteorology said.
Showers or thundershowers will occur in the most parts of the island during evening or night.
Heavy falls above 100 mm can be expected at some places in the Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western and Southern Provinces, and in Mannar and Vauniya Districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in Western, Eastern and North-Western Provinces, and Galle District coastal areas in the morning too.
