Wildlife officers on a work to rule campaign

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The All Island Wildlife Junior Officers Association (AIWJOA) says officers are scheduled to commence a Work-to-Rule campaign today (23rd Thursday).

The Association said the campaign is being conducted in protest to the lack of solutions to address salary anomalies.

The Association added authorities were granted time to address their demands but to no avail.

Accordingly the All Island Wildlife Junior Officers Association employed at forest reserves, which make up 14% of the country’s land, will only adhere to the stipulated working hours.

The employees of Udawalawa Elephant Orphanage are expected to join work-to-rule campaign.
