(UTV|COLOMBO) – Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen has ordered the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) to take legal action against traders selling wheat flour above the existing control price.
Noting that the control price for kilogramme of wheat flour is Rs. 87, Minister Bathiudeen emphasised that the legal measures will be taken against errant importers who have increased prices of wheat flour by Rs. 5 without prior approval.
