Import and Export Controller M.G. Gamini Further Remanded

(UTV|COLOMBO) The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) arrested the Controller of the Department of Import & Export Control M.G. Gamini while accepting a bribe on July 20.

The Controller of the Import and Export Control Department, who was arrested while soliciting a bribe of Rs.200, 000 from a businessman to provide a report containing recommendations necessary to bring down two vehicles from Japan which are around 10 years old through legal channels.

He was further remanded until October 2 by the Fort Chief Magistrate today (18).
