The inaugural ceremony of first Asian Men’s Volleyball Challenge Cup was held under President’s patronage

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The inaugural ceremony of the first 2018 Asian Men’s Volleyball Challenge Cup was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena, today (15).

The tournament which is organized by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation under the guidance of the Asian Volleyball Federation will be held from 15-22 September at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium. Eight countries are participating in this tournament.

President Sirisena presented the Opening Remarks of the tournament marking the commencement of the game.

Minister of Sports Faizer Mustapha, Chairman of the Volleyball Federation Minister Ranjith Siyabalapitiya, Vice Chairman Kanchana Jayarathna and others participated on this occasion.
