(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to leave for New Delhi, India today (10) on a three-day visit and hold important discussions.
Today Fmr President of Sri Lanka and probably the next President is arriving in New Delhi at the invitation of Virat Hindustan Sangam(https://t.co/ZxnmT5GgpH). He will address a public meeting (admission by invitation ) on 12th on “Indo-Srilanka Relations : The Way Forward”.

Rajapaksa will deliver a public lecture on “India – Sri Lanka relation: the way ahead” organised by the Virat Hindustan Sangam, led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parliamentarian Subramanian Swamy.
He is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. The External Affairs Ministry has not spoken about the meetings so far. A source said the visit was being planned by “Private parties”, The Hindu reported.
Rajapaksa’s delegation to India includes Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa and former External Affairs Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris.
