(UTV|COLOMBO) – A group of female inmates reportedly commenced a protest on roof-top of the Welikada Prison again this afternoon (20).
Several female inmates at the Welikada Prison staged a protest on roof-top last week but suspended the protest a day later.
The inmates had demanded that their concerns be looked into, including delays to hear their cases.
