(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Officials of the National Drug Regulatory Authority (NDRA) from today (20th Feb.) will inspect the progress of the price reduction of 38 brands of eye-lenses in the local market which came into effect recently.
Minister of Health, Nutrition, and Indigenous Medicine Rajitha Senarathne has informed the Chairman of the NDRA Prof. Asitha De Silva to launch this inspection and to prosecute the offenders if proved guilty.
The Gazette notification with the reduced prices was issued on 17th February 2017.
