(UTV|COLOMBO) Three faculties of Rajarata University have been closed due to spread of chickenpox, University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ranjith Wijewardhana said.
Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, Applied Sciences and the faculty of Technology have been closed until the 26th of this month.
The authorities have decided to close the faculties after reports confirm that 44 students from the three faculties have contracted chickenpox, whilst several other students have been diagnosed with dysentery and viral fever.
