“No proposal to increase salaries of Parliamentarians” – Prime Minister

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prime Minister refuted claims that he has not received any proposal, to increase the salaries of Parliamentarians.

Premier Ranil Wickremesinghe made this remarks while addressing the United National Front Parliamentary Group.

“There was a request a few months back to increase the salaries of Parliamentarians as the expenses for their staff had increased,” Wickremesinghe said adding that there was no concrete proposal to increase the salaries.
