Special High Court to hear cases from August first week

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Special Corruption High Court will be operational from the first week of August, the Sate newspapers quoted a high-ranking Justice Ministry Official on Monday (30).

Cases relating to financial frauds, money laundering, allocating money for terrorist activities, organised crimes and misuse of public properties will be heard in the Special High Court.

The case against Gamini Senarath, the Chief of Staff to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be heard first in the Special High Court.
