SLMC to meet to give the final decision on SAITM issue

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) is to convene a meeting today to take a final decision on the Malabe Private Medical University (SAITM).

It was decided on the 8th of February that a decision will be arrived at with the presence of all members of the SLMC.

The SLMC chairman Dr. Carlo Fonseka noted that the executive committee cannot take a decision on its own regarding the issue.

Accordingly, the Secretary to the council, Dr. Terence Gamini De Silva noted that the medical council will convene a meeting today (17th Friday).
