Gotabaya Rajapaksa arrives at the FCID

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Former Secretary of Defense Gotabaya Rajapaksa has arrived at the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) to record a statement.

The Former Defense Secretary arrived at the FCID to record a statement pertaining to discrepancies reported during the construction of the Sanda-Hiru Seya in Anuradhapura during the tenure of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) led government.

The placing of artifacts prior to the construction of the Seya was vested with the security forces.

The Police FCID is investigating a claim that artifacts placed were not made of gold but were only gold plated.

Gotabaya Rajapaksa accordingly arrived around 9:45 this morning at the FCID to record a statement pertaining to investigations into the complaint.
