Two illegal immigrants held at Thaleimannar sand dunes

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Based on information received by the Navy, two persons attempting to migrate from India to Sri Lanka by illegal means were held at the sand dune -1 in Thaleimannar.

It was subsequently revealed that the two persons were previous residents of Killinochchi region.

The apprehended include a male and a child aged 28 and 04 years respectively. Having brought them to the naval base of SLNS Thammanna in Thaleimannar, the Navy administered necessary first aid to them and handed over to the Thaleimannar Police for onward legal action.
