57 Division of Army listens to villagers and promises relief

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Intending to screen and identify pressing needs of all ethnicities, resident in Kilinochchi suburbs and under-developed areas, 57 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters- Kilinochchi invited a selective group of villagers for a friendly discussion at 57 Division Headquarters conference hall recently.

The group, representing Tamil, Muslim and Sinhala communities exchanged views with Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 57 Division and presented their grievances.

Major General Ravipriya during discussions promised all possible support from the Army side and other relief measures that could be channelled through the District Secretariat.
