Heated exchange in Parliament over Vijayakala’s remarks on LTTE

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Parliament on Tuesday (03) adjourned briefly following heated arguments over the State Minister of Child Affairs Vijayakala Maheswaran’s controversial speech on the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in Jaffna.

Addressing the “Janapathi Nila Mehewara” event at the Weerasingham Hall in Jaffna on Monday (02), State Minister Vijayakala stated that the LTTE should be resurrected for the freedom of the Tamil people.
