Change in US visa policy for Sri Lanka?

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – US embassy to Sri Lanka announced that the new U.S. administration has not made any changes to the current visa policy for Sri Lanka.

The U.S. Embassy rejected all media reports which claimed to the contrary.

Several media reports recently published said U.S. President Donald Trump had signed a visa-free travel policy for Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka is not among the countries in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, which enables nationals of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa.
