Police teargas IUSF protest against SAITM

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Police on Tuesday (19) fired teargas and used water cannons to disperse a group of Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) who were protesting against the SAITM (South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine) and the proposed Kotelawala Defense University (KDU) Bill, near Parliament in Battaramulla.

Meanwhile, severe traffic congestion also been reported along the Sri Jayewardenepura Road at the Polduwa Junction and near Parliament in Battaramulla due to the protest march by the IUSF.
