Five arrested for causing unrest in Jaffna

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Police have arrested five suspects over the unrest in Mallakam, Jaffna on Sunday night (17).

A 33-year-old person was killed as Police opened fire during an attempt to contain a riot that broke out between two groups in Tellippalai in Jaffna.

Reportedly, a tense situation was erupted between two groups of youth during the annual feast of the Mallakam Church.
