Palitha Range Bandara’s son Yashoda remanded [UPDATE]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: Yashoda Range Bandara, son of State Minister Palitha Range Bandara remanded until 12 June, for drunk driving and misuse of public property.

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The son of State Minister Palitha Range Bandara, Yashoda, has been arrested by Police over his involvement in a road accident.

Twenty five-year-old Yashoda who was admitted to the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital following an accident, has been arrested by the Arachchikattuwa Police for driving under the influence of liquor and misuse of public property, and reportedly possession of a sword.

Yashoda and Puttalam Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Anjana Sandaruwan were injured when their vehicle, belonging to the Irrigation Ministry, driven by State Minister’s son veered off the road and crashed into a house at Kottapitiya in Chilaw few days ago.

He will be produced before Court today.
