Iranian arrested with Rs. 1.7 million in currency

(UTV|COLOMBO) – An Iranian has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) for attempting to carry a stock of Sri Lankan and foreign currency worth Rs. 1.7 million to Dubai.

Fifty-year-old suspect was in possession of 350,000 Sri Lankan Rupees, 8,000 US Dollars, and 2,000 Malaysian Ringgit, which he claimed to have won at a casino.
