Postal strike commences, Water Board strike continues

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Postal workers and the Water Board workers have commenced a strike action from midnight Sunday (03) demanding the Government to provide proper solutions to their requests.

The strike action of Postal workers is based on several demands including the permanent placement of Postmasters is due to end at 12 midnight on Tuesday (05).

Meanwhile, the strike action of Water Board workers, which was launched based on salary discrepancies, and remove themselves from all functions of the NWSDB, will be carried out until a proper solution is to be meted out to them.
