Head of Chinese Project Management Team meets Army Chief

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A Chinese delegation, currently in Sri Lanka to offer technical assistance to the ongoing Chinese – funded auditorium complex at Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), Diyatalawa and review its construction progress paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake at the Army Headquarters on Wednesday evening (30).

The 4 – member delegation headed by Senior Colonel Chang Luhua, Chief of the project management team of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) during their cordial meeting, they exchanged views with the Commander of the Army on the progress of the second phase of the project and other technical aspects after their inspection visit to the place.

The phase II of the construction work of the new Auditorium complex commenced on 8th May 2018 at the Sri Lanka Military Academy premises in Diyatalawa.

Major General Ajith Wijesinghe, Military Secretary, Colonel Udaya Kumara, Military Assistance, Colonel Keerthi Ranasinghe, Project Management Officer in the Sri Lankan side were also associated with the discussions.
