(UTV|COLOMBO) – A man assaulted his wife, mother-in-law and father-in-law with a sharp object and killed his 6-year-old son at their residence in Kadigamuwa Wednesday afternoon (30).
The boy who was rushed to the Kuliyapitiya Hospital along with his mother (24) and his grandmother (42) and grandfather (62) succumbed to injuries upon admission.
The suspect committed suicide in front of their residence after assaulting his family members.
The Police say that the suspect may have used explosives to committee suicide.
Bingiriya Police is conducting further investigations.
