Minister Rishad Bathiudeen appeals all communities to help flood victims

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Minister Rishad Bathiudeen who made an observation visit to flood-hit areas, appealed to all communities to support efforts to help those affected by the floods, which include more than 124,733 persons.

The death toll from the adverse weather rose to 12, and 31,822 families have been affected by the prevailing adverse weather conditions in the country, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.

Minister Bathiudeen ensured that the Government would be committed to perform every task for the welfare of the affectees.
