Prevailing rainy weather to continue – Met Department

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prevailing rainy condition along with cloudy skies in the South-Western part of the island is expected to continue, the Department of Meteorology reported.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western Provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 PM.

Very heavy falls, about 150 mm can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Western Provinces and in Galle, Matara Districts.

Heavy falls, above 100 mm can be expected at some places, particularly in Central, North-Western and Uva Provinces and in Hambantota District.
