Case against Trincomalee oil tanks handed over to India

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The joint Petrolium Trade Unions (JPTU) has filed a case in the Supreme Court citing that fundamental rights (FR) of Sri Lankan people have been violated by handing over the oil tanks at the Trincomalee – Chinese port to be used by Indian oil Corporation.

They point out that a great financial loss will be caused by taking this decision and demand the oil tanks be returned for the use of Ceylon Petrolium Corporation once again.
